Welcome to the Troubleshooting Server Storage Related Issues practice lab. In this module, you will be provided with the instructions and devices needed to develop your hands-on skills.

Just like all other aspects of computing, storage is fallible. In this module, some common issues that happen with storage and some tools that can be used to help troubleshoot and diagnose issues will be discussed.

  • Use component services for unable to access logical drive errors.
  • Explore page/swap/scratch file or partition issues.
  • Describe caching issues.
  • Use the Check Disk (chkdsk) tool.
  • Explore the System File Checker (SFC) tool.
  • Use the Event Viewer.
  • Know about monitoring tools.
