Tools for Managing and Maintaining Linux Operating Systems
Welcome to the Tools for Managing and Maintaining Linux Operating Systems Practice Lab. In this module, you will be provided with the instructions and devices needed to develop your hands-on skills.
Linux commands are used for carrying out various operations in Linux and similar operating systems. Linux commands are executed by using the Terminal. The Terminal is a command prompt equivalent of Linux and is called bash. Linux commands can perform the following tasks along with many others:
- Shutdown and Restart
- Copy files, file data, and directories
- Create a new user account
- Terminate an ongoing process
