Welcome to the Server Operating Troubleshooting Techniques practice lab. In this module, you will be provided with the instructions and devices needed to develop your hands-on skills.
Servers are specialized computers. Because they are supposed to be on all the time, they are more powerful and are constructed of higher quality. Similar problems that affect desktop computers can also affect servers.
In this module, some of the most typical server issues, their root causes, and potential solutions will be discussed.

After completing this module, you should be able to:
- Create a rule blocking a port.
- Allow secure connection through the Windows Defender Firewall.
- Allow a program through the Windows Defender Firewall.
- Block a port with Group Policy Management.
- Use Task Scheduler to schedule reboots.
- Start and stop a service.
- Use Run as administrator.
- Use the sudo/su command.
- Explore safe mode.
- Work with snapshots.
- Reload OS.
