Overview
The Securing and Administering Databases lab provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands-on skills in the defined topics.
Learning Outcomes:
In this module, you will complete the following exercises:
- Exercise 1 - Securing Databases
- Exercise 2 - Backing Up and Restoring a Database
After completing this lab, you will be able to:
- Create logins and users for a database.
- Assign roles to users and granting permissions.
- Perform backup and restore using T-SQL.
- Perform backup and restore using SSMS.
Note: Our main focus is to cover the practical, hands-on aspects of the exam objectives. We recommend referring to course material or a search engine to research theoretical topics in more detail.
