Managing a Windows Device using the Graphical User Interface (GUI)

Welcome to the Managing a Windows device using the Graphical User Interface (GUI) Practice Lab. In this module, you will be provided with the instructions and devices needed to develop your hands-on skills.

There are numerous tools built into Windows to assist with operating system management. Microsoft's Management Console (MMC) platform with snap-ins is used to create customizable management windows. Having all the tools needed to complete a task in one location can help administrators save time. These consoles control hardware, software, and network equipment. This module will explore quite a few built-in modules and show how to create a custom module. You'll also examine the task manager, Msinfo32, Group Policy, and the registry. The management of the Windows system has become much easier because of the combination of all the tools.
