Implementing Cloud Resource Monitoring and Alert Solutions

Welcome to the Implementing Cloud Resource Monitoring and Alert Solutions lab. In this lab you will be provided with the instructions and devices needed to develop your hands-on skills.

In the previous lab, we learned about the importance of monitoring our cloud environment; in this lab, we will learn how to take that information and create an alerting system to respond to events that happen in our environment.

In this module, you will complete the following exercises:

Exercise 1 - Examining and Configuring Monitoring Alerts, and Service Management Tools

After completing this module, you should be able to:

  • Define and Describe Service management tools, common messaging methods, alerts, responding, category and communication policies.
  • Configure notifications in a Monitoring Environment.
  • Configure Monitoring Environment to generate help desk tickets when a machine is not reachable.
