Deploying and Managing Server Storage (SK0-005)
Welcome to the Deploying and Managing Server Storage practice lab. In this module, you will be provided with the instructions and devices needed to develop your hands-on skills.
Different operating systems have different ways of configuring storage. Linux operating systems use a different filing system when compared to Windows operating systems.
In this module, the configuration of storage for different server operating systems will be investigated and implemented.

In this module, you will complete the following exercises:
- Exercise 1 – Configuring Storage in Linux
- Exercise 2 – Installing and Configuring Shared Storage in Linux Using NFS
- Exercise 3 – Configuring Storage in Windows
- Exercise 4 – Configuring Shared Storage in Windows Using SMB
After completing this module, you should be able to:
- Partition a storage device in Linux.
- Format a partition with a file system in Linux.
- Mount storage in Linux.
- Configure the permissions on the NFS directory.
- Install and configure an NFS server.
- Install and configure an NFS client.
- Partition a storage device.
- Format the storage device with the NTFS file system.
- Create a network share for storage.
- Connect a Windows 10 client to the shared storage.
- Map a network drive to the shared storage.
