  • Uninstall Avast Free Antivirus.

  • Turn off real-time protection.

  • Copy the tools folder to a local drive.

  • Turn on real-time protection.

  • Activate the sample virus.

  • Use Windows Defender.

  • Use an online antimalware scanner.

  • Explore Internet Explorer browser security features.

  • Install antispyware.

  • Run SUPERAntiSpyware.
